Thank you for returning your signed Contributor Agreement Form. You now have permission to post work to the Scholars @ Bentley institutional repository. Please read on for more information about how to begin contributing, and what assistance is available.
Once I have turned in my form, what do I do next?
If you do not have a Bepress account, you must create one before you’ll be able to post. This account will also help you track usage statistics. Please visit scholars.bentley.edu, click on "My Account" from the menu bar, and follow the prompts to create an account with your bentley.edu email address.
How do I select work to post?
For published work, you will need to ensure that you have sufficient copyright permissions to post in an institutional repository. Please see this page for more information on how to conduct permissions checks. For work that is currently unpublished (may include working papers, presentations, A/V, datasets, etc.) you are welcome to submit anything you wish as long as it is part of your scholarly activity.
Can someone assist me with selecting and posting work?
Yes, there are several options for assisted submission.
You may choose to have a graduate assistant, department administrator, or other colleague help you to conduct permission checks and upload work. If you choose to do so, please keep in mind that you are still solely responsible for the commitments outlined in the Contributor Agreement Form. You must ensure that whoever is assisting you understands the obligations required to upload work. Also bear in mind that if you have someone upload your work from a different Bepress account, you may be unable to view usage and download statistics for your work.
Librarians on the Scholars @ Bentley team can also assist you with preparing materials for submission. If you would like a librarian to conduct permission/copyright checks on your published work, please email scholars@bentley.edu with either a copy of your CV or a link to your page on Digital Measures. Please use the subject line "Permission Review Request." A librarian will conduct permission checks through SHERPA/RoMEO and get back to you with a spreadsheet of eligible works. (Please note that individual publishing agreements may differ from general copyright policies that are available online. The best way to ensure that you have permission to post is to consult a signed agreement with your publisher. A permission review from a Bentley librarian is simply meant to give you a better indication of what materials you will likely be able to post.)
If you have additional questions or need help managing your account, please contact the Scholars @ Bentley team via email.
