Conduct your own web searches to identify potential locations and venues. Good places to start are state and local government websites, including travel and tourism offices and visitor bureaus.

DemographicsNow database: Locating Businesses and Venues

You can use DemographicsNow to identify potential venues in a geographic area.

Search steps:

  1. Select the People and Companies search, then choose to create a Business List.
  2. Next, use the "Business Type" filter to narrow your search results by SIC or NAICS industry classification code. Use the menu to choose classification codes for the types of locations you are interested in (e.g. museums, historical sites, performing arts arenas, country clubs, etc.). You can also view lists of SIC and NAICS codes and descriptions at:
