Welcome to the Bentley Library

The Bentley Library provides the space and resources for research, quiet study, and collaboration. Library staff have the expertise to teach you how to utilize the collections, conduct research, and organize and evaluate information. The Princeton Review ranked Bentley University #16 for Best College Library in the 2016 edition of The Best 380 Colleges.

The Bentley Library is a full member of the Boston Library Consortium (BLC), a resource sharing consortium of 18 academic and research libraries in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. Our membership grants Bentley students, faculty, and staff on-site access to most materials, services, and resources at other full member libraries. Materials can also be borrowed through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).

 Library resources and services include: 

  • Open 108 hours in a typical week; Reference services provided 75 hours per week
  • 1 Express Self-Checkout station utilizing RFID technology
  • 185,000 print volumes and 216,000 eBook volumes
  • 140+ online research databases provide access to journals, newspapers, reports, analysis & statistics
  • 55,000 full-text online journals
  • 700 current periodical subscriptions
  • 3,200 OverDrive downloadable eBooks and audiobooks
  • 7,300 DVDs
  • 46,000+  streaming educational videos from Films on Demand, Kanopy & Swank
  • 600+ audiobooks (CD)
  • Full member of the Boston Library Consortium (BLC), granting Bentley students, faculty, and staff on-site access to most materials, services, and resources at other full member libraries.
  • Interlibrary Loan - request books, articles, and other materials that are not owned by the Bentley Library
  • Borrowing cards for Brandeis University library

The Bentley Library also houses the Bentley Writing CenterESOL CenterComputing Services Help Desk, RSM Art Gallery and Deloitte Cafe (featuring Einstein Bros. Bagels).
