Gender Studies Research

This guide provides a starting point for researching gender studies using Library resources.

Using Google Scholar

Google Scholar is different than the standard Google search. It contains papers from scholarly journals, researchers' working papers, conference proceedings, and other academic content. You can use it by clicking the Google Scholar link on the Library's Databases A-Z page.

  • Search Tip: Some papers can be accessed directly from our databases via an "Access @ Bentley Library" link. If you are off-campus, login using the link provided above.

Not all content in Google Scholar is peer-reviewed. You will need to evaluate whether the article meets the requirements of your research. If you have questions about whether an article is scholarly or not, consult a librarian using one of the methods on our Research Help page, or ask your professor if the article is acceptable.
