Provides useful resources for First-Generation Students.

Printing, Copying, Faxing, Scanning

Printing

Networked high-speed printers are located throughout the library. Printers are located on the Main Level adjacent to study rooms 102 and 103, on the Upper Level near the atrium at the top of the front stairs, and on the Lower Level next to the study area. Print jobs can be retrieved from any print station.

IT Client Services oversees all printing on campus. For any issues or problems with library printers, please contact the IT Client Services Help Desk. For more information, visit https://www.bentley.edu/offices/it/falcon-printing

When you are ready to print:

  • Enter your Bentley short name, password and print job name
  • Choose either Falcon Color Print or Falcon Print (set to print double-sided by default) from your list of available printers.
  • You will need your Bentley ID to print. Bring your ID to the Library within 48 hours to pick up your print job from one of the print stations.
  • The two printing rooms on the Main Level and the printing room on the Upper Level each contain 2 black/white printers and 1 color printer. The printing room on the Lower Level contains 1 black/white printer.
  • Each page printed will be deducted from your semester allowance. Black and White copies are charged at $.05 for single-sided and $.045 for double-sided; Color copies are charged at $.24 for single-sided and $.23 for double-sided.

Copying

A photocopier is located in the lower level printing room. There is no charge for using the copier. See Library Services for assistance.

Faxing

Also located in the lower level reading area is a fax machine for public use. You can send and receive faxes at this machine. The number is 781.891.3140.

Scanning

There are 2 overhead scanners available for use in the Library, 1 in the upper level print room and 1 in the lower level print room. Both scanners can create PDFs that can be emailed or saved on a flash drive. There is no charge for using the scanners.

Student Lockers

Lockers are available for daily use on the Lower Level of the library. Locker keys may be checked out at the Library Services Desk. These lockers are available for one day use only. All keys must be returned by the time the Library closes that night. Late fees are assessed at $1.00/hour for keys not returned on time.
