Places to start exploring ideas and topics:
Each week, the CQ Researcher examines an issue of compelling public interest. All CQ reports include an abstract, chronology, extensive bibliography and notes, and an outlook. A sidebar includes reports related to the latest topic, and the full text of past reports can be searched via the CQ search function or the cumulative index.
As part of this course, you will need to stay up to date on current events and international news. Your professor has provided you with some sources that will be helpful to you in keeping track of developments around the world.
Two of the sources mentioned are The New York Times and Financial Times. The Bentley Library offers students the opportunity to register for accounts to nytimes.com and ft.com at no cost to you. Below are the links to the two newspapers' websites. Check the descriptions underneath each link for registration instructions so that you can sign up for an account:
