This guide provides information on citing sources and managing references with EndNote.

  • EndNote is an online search tool that provides a simple way to search online bibliographic databases and retrieve the references directly into EndNote.
  • EndNote is a bibliography and manuscript maker that formats citations, figures, and tables in Microsoft with the Cite While You Write ® Wordfeature.
  • EndNote is a reference and image database—it specializes in storing, managing, and searching for bibliographic references in your private reference library

Getting EndNote 20

Current Bentley University students, staff and faculty are eligible to take advantage of EndNote 20. Here's how:

1. Contact the Bentley University Library Reference Desk by sending an email to refdesk@bentley.edu from your Bentley email address to obtain an EndNote 20 product key. You will need the product key prior to downloading the software.

2. Visit the EndNote 20 website to download the software for your operating system (Windows or Mac):

EndNote 20 Resources, Training, & Help

EndNote Online

EndNote Online is a web-based, more basic version of EndNote. Bentley EndNote desktop users can register for a free EndNote Online account (available to us from our Web of Science subscription) to use the online tools provided with that service. EndNote Online (Premium) is not included with our desktop EndNote 20 subscription.
