A note on Scholarly Research:
"A publication is considered to be scholarly if it is authored by academics for a target audience that is mainly academic, the printed format isn't usually a glossy magazine, and it is published by a recognized society with academic goals and missions" (from ProQuest).
Peer Review is an editorial process that involves review and approval of experts in the field before an article is published in a journal. The term Refereed is often used in place of Peer Review. Most scholarly works are peer reviewed, but not all. If you have a question regarding scholarly resources please contact the Bentley Library Reference at 781.891.2302 or refdesk@bentley.edu or by using the "Chat with us" box on this page.
